• David Brander is working with Ben Andrews, looking at isometric immersions of flat manifolds in spheres.
• Joy Carpio is working with Daryl Daley in the Stochastic Analysis Program.
• Brett Easton started this year and is working with Alexander Isaev.
• Kirk Hampel is working with Peter Hall in the Statistical Science Program.
• Mohammad Hosseini-Nasab works with Peter Hall in the Statistical Science program.
• Junmei Jing works with Yi Fang in the Centre for Bioinformation Sciences.

• Paul Nanninga recently started work with Murray Batchelor in the Mathematical Physics program.
• Huy Nguyen started this year, and is working with Ben Andrews in the Applied and Nonlinear Analysis program, on Deforming Riemannian metrics by their Ricci curvature.
• Norman Oelkers is in the Mathematical Physics Program, working with Murray Batchelor and looking at mapping the q-state Potts model on the triangular lattice to the O(n) loop model on the honeycomb lattice for finite lattice sizes.
• Bob Scealy is working with John Hutchinson and Michael Barnsley in the Applied and Nonlinear Analysis program.
• Tryon Schnabl started this year on a part-time PhD working with Amnon Neeman in the Algebra and Topology program.
• Greg von Nessi is working with Neil Trudinger in the Applied and Nonlinear Analysis program, on nonlinear elliptic equations and optimal transportation.
• Kevin Wang has recently started working with Sue Wilson and John Maindonald in the Centre for Bioinformation Science.
• Brett Witty is working with Mike Newman in the Algebra and Topology Program on the enumeration of p-groups.
