The year 2007 will be a Special Year on Mathematical Physics within the Mathematical Sciences Institute.

The following events have been organized:

• A topical program on the "Geometric Langlands Conjecture" (ANU, 16 July- 3 Aug)

• The First Asia-Pacific Summer School on Mathematical Physics (ANU, 26 Nov - 7 Dec)

• Annual workshop on Mathematical Physics (10-11 Dec ANU, 12-14 Dec Kioloa, NSW South Coast), incorporating the Annual Statistical Mechanics meeting (10-11 Dec).
